People on Facebooks QLD pie group have been banging on about this place so as I was in the area today, I thought I would give them a shot. Went for the Steak Chilli Cheese. Huge pie with beautifully cooked pastry top and bottom. Filled with plenty of tender steak chunks and stacks of cheese chunks too. The chilli was advertised as medium and I would say it was spot on. Did not overpower but you knew you were eating chilli. It was $8.50 and worth every cent as 350g which is twice as big as some bakery pies. (I am looking at you Murwillumbah) 9.5/10

Fantastic little Cafe/Bakery. Stopped in here yesterday for a look after being reccomended by lots of people and wow really glad we did! I had the satay chicken and roasted macadamia pie and my partner had the Seafood thermedor pie both were amazing satay had the right amount of heat and the seafood pie was packed with scallops, prawns and barra. Pastry was perfect. Slightly more expensive than other bakeries but the pies were huge and definitely worth the extra expense. Also got an apple pie to take away and that was also incredible. Really nice coffee as well. Can't wait for our next visit.

Heard of the pies, tried my first pie, it was delicious, sweet chilli coconut cream chicken YUM!! and the pies are a decent size too. Definitely go try those pies, I know I am gonna try more, the list of flavours is amazing. Update: Second pie. Barramundi prawns and scallops in white wine cream sauce. Delish! 3rd round: Satay chicken, beef brisket and veggies... 48.5/50 on Pyneys pie reviews ain't nothing. New update: It's winter time, it's raining, I felt like comfort food, came to artisan during my lunch break, picked the special Beef Burgundy pie topped with Peas as an add-on, the whole thing was plentiful and satisfied my need for warmth. Thank you heaps guys

Absolutely outstanding I have eaten many pies in my time, including Fairlie Bakehouse house, Burleigh in Nelson, Fat bastards in invercargill, i put this pie right up there with these champions. I choose 4 pies as I could fathom pie regret, pastry was perfect, not to thin , nice and flakey ,slight chew from the puff pastry, all the fillings are at the perfect consistency, temperature and seasoned perfectly, all the pies are full to the top with 1st grade ingredients, especially the seafood pie, full of prawns and scallops perfectly cooked. Must try before you decide to rate any other pie. Pies deserved more photos, and next time I won't miss out and will try all the pies!!!!!

We dropped by on our way home & there was 1 pie left. I'd heard how good the pies were here, so we had to try one. I'd never had a steak, bacon & cheese pie before, but it was my only option, so why not? The reason for 1 pie left was that I had just walked in before closing time. Now, the pie had every right to be a little hard & dry, but it was as if they'd just baked it. The flavours, consistency & pastry were all top notch. Almost too good to be called a pie. The staff were also excellent, especially considering they were all done for the day. I'm definitely going back, but earlier next time.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The pies are all outstanding, the flavours are beautiful, I have been working my way through them and I cannot find a favourite. Their coffee is made very well too (they use Padre), I drink it black and it’s never burnt or too bitter, always delicious. The staff are lovely and always happy and accomodating. Lovely trees around, dog friendly (so good boys abound) and sweet songs from local birds. 5 out of 5 on all fronts.
